The past week has been one to remember for the directors of Sogeal the committee board responsible for the management of Alghero International airport. Only a few days ago the Sardinian region announced the release of 42 million euro for the exclusive use by Alghero airport. The funds were previously agreed by the region but have only recently become available. 12 million euro will be spent to cover previous investment expanses with the remaining 30 million euro to invest in service improvements and further expansion.

Alghero airport today announced record month on month passenger figures for June and July. At today’s press announcement passenger figures raised year on year by 14% to 155,169 compared to July 2006 when 135,747 passengers passed through the airport.
